Hon’ble CM Shri Sarbananda Sonowal launched ‘TRISSAM’, a brand of Assam under the Pradhan Mantri Van Dhan Yojana at AASC, Guwahati. TRISSAM comprises products made from local forest resources by indigenous communities of the state.
The launch of TRISSAM gives a huge boost to Atma Nirbhar Assam, enabling indigenous communities to make and sell their unique products. 15,000 tribal benificiaries have been emcompassed under TRISSAM from 50 Van Dhan Bikas Kendras.
As part of the programme, the CM interacted with entrepreneurs and highlighted that with proper value addition, branding and marketing, local products of Assam can capture markets across India.
