India’s 5 Amazing Expressways: Expressways are the highest class of roads in the Indian road network. These four to six lane expressways form a rapid transport network between many major cities and ports of India. The Golden Quadrilateral is a highway network connecting Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai in India. This is the country’s biggest highway project started by late Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The Mumbai-Pune Expressway is India’s first six-lane concrete, high-speed, access controlled toll expressway with a distance of 93 km. Here two-wheelers have been stopped from plying on the road for safety reasons. This spectacular highway covers the journey of Mumbai and Green City Pune in less than 2 hours at an average speed of 80 kmph. It passes through the areas of the beautiful Sahyadri mountain ranges through passes and tunnels. It is considered to be one of the best expressways in the country.

Jaipur-Kishangarh Expressway

The Jaipur-Kishangarh Expressway is an Indian expressway connecting the clean and beautiful city of Jaipur with Kishangarh. This expressway of Rajasthan state is 90 km long and six lane. It is also one of the best highways in the country. This expressway is a part of National Highway 8. The wide road till Beawar is going to make Rajasthan an attractive tourist destination.

Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway

The Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway also known as National Expressway 1, connects one of the Green City Ahmedabad and Vadodara. This 95 km long expressway replaces National Highway 8, which is one of the busiest national highways in India. It is a part of India’s important expressway Golden Quadrilateral Project.

Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway

The Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway is a beautiful expressway connecting Green Delhi, the national capital of India, with Gurgaon. It is a part of the Golden Quadrilateral, the Delhi Gurgaon Expressway, which connects Delhi with Mumbai. It is a 28 km long access-controlled toll expressway and one of the most important expressways in the country.

Western Expressway

The Mumbai Western Express Highway is an 8-10 lane main road. This 25.33 km expressway starts near Mahim Creek and ends at Mira-Dahisar toll booth in the northern limits of the city. Beyond the city limits, it goes beyond the Mumbai-Delhi National Highway 8. To avoid heavy traffic in Mumbai, the Andheri flyover has been built on the Western Express Highway.
