KMSS set to create political party within September
Krishak Mukti Sangram unable Samiti (KMSS), along with 70 other organizations, announced Sunday that it will float a new political team in September. This comes after KMSS failed to win the support of the AASU, AJYCP and Assam Jatiya Parishad newly formed (AJP) in forming a common platform.
It may be mentioned here that the KMSS had previously set September 20 as the deadline for AASU, AJYCP and AJP to come on board to form a united regional political force. “We have yet to get a response from AASU, AJYCP and AJP,” said the KMSS direction interacting with the media.
“They are optimistic that regional forces allied to the interests of the people of Assam before the elections,” he added.
It may be mentioned here that the KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi recently said that without the unification of the regional forces, it would not be possible to defeat the ruling BJP.
