Jamie Redknapp has waxed lyrical about Ben White and insisted it’s no surprise Leeds United wanted to sign permanently. Whites pushed hard to get back to white sign after his key role in their promotion to the Premier League last season. However, Brighton remained strong throughout the summer would not sell the 22-year-old and rejected two offers, for a total of £ 25 million.
Leeds moved place and signed Robin Koch of Freiburg, while White wrote a new four-year contract on the south coast, with the promise of first team football.
Graham Potter made stuck true to his word, with White starting from the right of defense of three men in Brighton opening two games of the season. Against Newcastle United, White even played the last half hour as right side but his impressive start to life in the Premier League has come as little surprise to fans of Leeds. For Redknapp however, he was full of joy instead of English, which has tended to climb to the top, with Liverpool keep an eye on their progress.
