Digital Lok Adalat: India’s first fully digital Lok Adalat will be held on August 13. Digital Lok Adalat will be organized by Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority (RSLSA) and Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority (MSLSA). Digitization of Lok Adalat will facilitate common people to get justice from the comfort of their homes. Considering the increasing number of cases in various courts across the country, this will prove to be a milestone in the history of the Indian judicial system.

Jupitis, which claims to be the world’s first justice technology company, is set to host the event. This digital Lok Adalat powered by AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Blockchain was launched in July. It was then launched by Justice Uday Umesh Lalit, Chairman of the National Legal Services Authority and Supreme Court Judge, during the 18th All India Legal Services Authority meeting held in Jaipur.

Lok Adalat has been successful

Digital Lok Adalat will also enhance the ‘Ease of Justice’ across India. The digital version of Lok Adalat has been designed, developed and implemented to suit the emerging demands of various stakeholders. The physical Lok Adalats held in the past are already making headlines by resolving record cases in a single day.

Beneficial for common people

Dinesh P Surana, Member Secretary, MSLSA said, “This digitization will not only help MSLSA to ease its back-end administrative work, but will also be beneficial to the common people by quick resolution of earlier cases.” Raman Agarwal, Founder and CEO of Jupitis Technologies, said that Jupitis’ Digital Lok Adalat will be used by Maharashtra and Rajasthan to settle pending disputes quickly and efficiently.
