The protestors additionally requested withdrawal of the Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) notice 2020 at Baghjan Dighal Tarang ME School alleviation camp in Tinsukia. Around 40 activists under the flag of Baghjan Gaon Milanjyoti Yuva Sangha began the uncertain appetite strike from 12 pm on Wednesday.
Satyajit Moran, leader of Baghjan Gaon Milanjyoti Yuva Sangha stated, “Tinsukia region organization has given us composed affirmation that inside July 27, all remuneration will be given to the families whose houses and property were harmed in Baghjan victory.”
“Till date, the families whose houses were harmed have not gotten remuneration. We request that the remuneration be given by the Tinsukia region organization to the influenced families,” Moran said. Moran included, “We have requested remuneration for 597 families however till date the influenced families have not gotten any pay from the Tinsukia area organization.”
“The locale organization guaranteed to give the pay on July 27 however they have neglected to give the pay to the families up until this point,” Moran said.
Two months have gone since the victory in the Baghjan well of the Oil India Ltd (OIL) yet at the same time flares keep on emitting from the oil well.
