110 people and 218 animals died due to rain-flood
According to the data released by the Maharashtra Disaster Management, from June 1 to July 27, 2022, due to natural calamities such as heavy rains, lightning, land slides, falling trees, house collapses and floods, so far 110 people have died in Maharashtra. has lost its life and 218 animals have died. Along with this, about 90 farmers have committed suicide in Maharashtra in just one month, in which only about 46 farmers have given their lives in Marathwada.
Know how much damage was done due to rain and flood
According to government data, only 45 people and 449 animals have died due to rain and natural calamity in Marathwada and crops have been damaged on 378866 hectares of land. 234809 farmers have been affected by this disaster and 515 farmers have committed suicide in the last 6 months.
According to the data, farmers have suffered the most in Nashik district of North Maharashtra. Here Kharif crop is planted in 26 lakh 80 thousand hectares, out of which 21 lakh 34 thousand hectares were sown. In which farmers have suffered heavy losses due to the drowning of crops due to rain. The agriculture of more than 7 thousand farmers of 330 villages in the district has been damaged.
Due to rain in Hingoli, the crop sown in 76 thousand hectares of agriculture has been ruined. The condition of the farmers is miserable, 188 animals have died. Pandit Kharate, a farmer of Kautha village in Hingoli district, had planted seeds in 10 acres of cultivation, spending about 70 thousand for soybean crop in 6 acres. But the flood of Asana river flowing near the farm ruined the whole agriculture.
The farmer of the district Vishnuraje Ingole said that due to the rains, sugarcane cultivation has been ruined and there has been a loss of about 2.5 lakhs.

Santosh Dutonde, a farmer of Somthana village of Akola district, said that soybean was sown in seven acres, it rained heavily and for seven days the rain water remained in the fields. Now the fear of heavy damage to the crops is haunting.
In Yavatmal, incessant rains for 15 consecutive days have ruined about 2.5 lakh hectares of crop. Mohammad Bhatnase, a farmer from Sukli village in the district, had cultivated his soybean, tur dal and cotton in his seven acres of fields, but the rains ruined it all. Now the difficulty of running a family has arisen in front of them. There are more than four and a half lakh farmers in Yavatmal district who take loans to sow Kharif crops, but this rain has ruined everyone.
