Politics over ED Action in Parliament: Due to the heavy uproar by the opposition regarding the ED in Parliament, first the proceedings of the Lok Sabha and then the Rajya Sabha were adjourned till two o’clock. The opposition’s ruckus continued during the Question Hour in the Rajya Sabha. Slogans were continuously raised by the opposition. Problems were also raised by the MPs during the Question Hour amid the noise of uproar. The MPs who created the ruckus were asked to keep quiet but they did not listen and kept making noise. During the Question Hour, several MPs, including Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Jalshakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, made their point amidst the ruckus of the opposition.

Let us tell you that the entire monsoon session seems to be getting lost due to the uproar of the opposition. After the Parliament proceedings were disrupted for two weeks, the Modi government agreed to discuss inflation, but on Monday the opposition continued to create ruckus. The issue of inflation was to be discussed in the Lok Sabha today, while tomorrow it is to be debated in the Rajya Sabha. The discussion on the issue of inflation in the Lok Sabha was listed under Rule 193. Shiv Sena MP Vinayak Raut and Congress MP Manish Tewari had given notice in Lok Sabha to discuss inflation. The issue is to be discussed in the Rajya Sabha tomorrow under Rule 176. The notice for discussion in the Rajya Sabha was given by NCP MP Fauzia Khan. It was expected that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman would answer questions on inflation.

So many days left in the monsoon season

There are ten days left for the proceedings of the Parliament in the Monsoon session. The monsoon session of Parliament ends on 12 August. The opposition wants to debate next week about the Agneepath scheme for recruits in the army. The opposition parties are continuously opposing the government regarding the Agneepath scheme. Opposition parties are demanding to withdraw this plan. Rashtriya Lok Dal, Rashtriya Janata Dal, Samajwadi Party and Congress have given notices for debate on Agneepath scheme.
