Young India Office Seal: Taking major action in the National Herald case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sealed the office of Young India located at Herald House. Yesterday, the ED had searched this office, after which it has been sealed. 38% shares of Young Indian Company are with Sonia Gandhi and the same number of shares are with Rahul Gandhi. Young Indian is the company that took over Associated Journals Limited ie AJL.

Sources say that the ED had conducted this raid yesterday to find answers to the same questions which Sonia and Rahul Gandhi did not answer. This raid of ED did not last till Herald House in Delhi, apart from Delhi, ED raided 12 places in the country.

The situation is not clear about giving and taking loans.

Actually, the ED is probing the National Herald case from the angle of money laundering and has been interrogated with Sonia and Rahul Gandhi in this case. During interrogation, Sonia Gandhi was questioned by the ED as to why the loan of Rs 90 crore was not mentioned in the acquisition of AJL and in what form the loan of Rs 1 crore given by the Dotex company was taken. Responding to this, Sonia said that she was not aware of all these things, but Motilal Vora had it.

ED engaged in investigation from money laundering angle

The ED suspects that the loan of Rs 1 crore given by Dotex Company to Young India was given through money laundering. In the acquisition, Young India Company got 9 crore shares of AJL. So on the other hand, Sonia and Rahul Gandhi said that Motilal Vora used to see the whole matter of money transactions. Let us tell you that the 4 shareholders of Young India were Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Motilal Vora and Oscar Fernandes. Of this, Sonia and Rahul held 76 per cent stake in the company. The National Herald had given a loan of Rs 90 crore to the Congress to repay its loan, which was later waived off by the party.
