Here DU has taken a major decision on the final exam. The University of Delhi, or Delhi University (DU), will initiate the scholarly meeting for understudies from August 10, the college said. This will be appropriate to the current cluster of understudies who are in their third, fifth and seventh semesters in undergrad (UG) and third semester in post graduate (PG) courses. The college is yet to uncover the date from which the scholarly meeting of the new groups will start. This will create some new dynamics for the students.
DU, in a warning, said:” The scholarly meeting 2020-2021 of the college will begin from 10-08-2020 with beginning of online classes for the third, fifth and seventh semester of UG courses and third semester of PG courses subject to the common pandemic or some other exigency.”
The college said that the choice is being taken considering the updated rules given by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and will be “subject to the overarching pandemic or some other exigency”.
This could be a problem for those students who are studying aborad. DU’s choice to begin the scholarly meeting comes even as the new UGC rules are being tested in the Supreme Court. 31 understudies from the nation over had documented a request in the Supreme Court requesting that it repeal the UGC rules refering to wellbeing worries because of the continuous COVID-19 pandemic. The Supreme Court hearing on the issue is continuous.
In the interim, DU’s choice to lead open book tests for definite year understudies are additionally being tested in the Delhi High Court. The High Court, on Wednesday, had requested that the college document the sworn statement on the false test, the status of Common Service Center (CSC) and recorders for outwardly weakened understudies.
