Ceremonial Launch of One-Time Financial Assistance Under Indira Miri Universal Widow Pension Scheme

Indira Miri Universal Widow Pension Scheme (IMUWPS) provides monthly pension benefit to widows aged 18 years and above. As on date, more than 2 lakh beneficiaries have benefitted under IMUWPS.
In addition to that, one-time financial assistance of Rs 25,000 is provided to widows aged 18-45 years. Approximately 12,000 women will be benefitted under the Scheme.
Any woman who lost her spouse on or after 1st April, 2022 can apply under this scheme through local Gaon Panchayats, Urban local bodies or Block Development offices.
