The Assam Legislative Assembly on Thursday passed the Assam University Skill Bill 2020 for the establishment of a state of the art at the University of skills Mangaldai in Darrang district.
In a tweet, Minister of State for Industry Chandra Mohan Patowary said: “Today, Assam Legislative Assembly passed the University Competence Assam Bill 2020. The university will be set up with the financial support of about Rs 1000 Cr of the Asian development Bank. The university offers a new perspective of opportunities and change the economic landscape of Assam “.
It may be mentioned here that the Government of Assam has tied up with Singapore-based ITE Education Service for the establishment of the university.
Around 100 bigha land (16 hectares) will be allocated for the development at the university.
