a) (i) UNDER BETTERMENT OF RESULT SCHEME/ UNDER REAPPEARANCE SCHEME
A student who passed the HS Final Examination, 2019 for the first time and are intending to appear in the
ensuing H S Final Examination, 2020 under BETTERMENT OF RESULT SCHEME/ UNDER REAPPEARANCE SCHEME
may apply Online in the month of October, 2019 along with the regular candidates of this year. They are not
required to avail prior permission from the Council in this regard, but, the prescribed permission fees are to be
paid during the time of online form fill up. Such students desirous of appearing in the Betterment of Result
Scheme will be allowed to appear in maximum 4 (four) subjects only from his/her combination of subjects offered
in the HS Final Examination, 2019 (Arts/Science/Commerce Stream). He/she may appear in a single subject or up
to maximum 4 (four) subjects only from his/her earlier combination of subjects offered in HS Final Examination,
2019 to better his/her results in the HS Final Examination, 2020. Students appearing in Betterment of Result
Scheme should appear in Practical Examination also if subject(s) contain(s) Practical Paper(s).
Higher marks if secured by a candidate in subject/subjects under the Betterment of Result Scheme in the
HS Final Examination, 2020 then the mark(s) of the subject/subjects of the previous HS Final Examination, 2019
would be replaced in the new mark-sheets retaining the other marks as it is. Only one mark-sheet will be issued to
a candidate under this Betterment of Result Scheme on surrendering the previous mark-sheet.
(ii) UNDER REAPPEARANCE SCHEME
In conformity with the guidelines of the CBSE, candidate willing to appear in any competitive
examination (i.e. Engineering or Medical) shall have to reappear in all subjects, he/she appeared in the last
examination under Reappearance scheme and their better result will be taken into account. Under no
circumstances Better Mark obtained in single or any subject will be added with the previous result. In respect of
all competitive Examinations, the Candidates will decide before applying whether he/she will appear under
Betterment chance or Re-appear in the Examination. Students appearing under Reappearance Scheme will have
to appear in Practical Examinations also if subject(s) having Practical Paper(s).
