Axel fought even after being shot
Axel had cleared one room, but as soon as he entered the other room, the terrorist opened fire on him. On hearing the sound of the bullet, the soldiers became alert and killed the terrorist hiding in the room, but Axel was also killed due to the bullet. According to the information, in the post-mortem report of Axel, it has been said that he suffered ten different injuries along with bullet injuries. That is, even after being shot, Axel had fought with the terrorist, due to which he has suffered these injuries.
Special army dog squad
There are about 1500 dogs in the dog squad of the army. All these are trained at the RVC Center in Meerut. These dogs include German Shepherd, Labrador, Belgian Melinois and Indigenous. These dogs are prepared for patrolling with soldiers on the border, from counter-terrorism and anti-insurgency operations. These dogs are also included in the bomb disposal squad and are given special training to sniff out bombs and IEDs. They also immediately recognize suspicious people and attack them immediately.
Excel was two years old
The Army’s RR Force has a separate dog squad that stays with the soldiers in Counter Insurgency and Counter Terrorism ie CI-CT operation.
