Another Danger for Baghjan as Leakage at thread of gas diversion attempt failed

Leakage was observed on the thread of the wellhead in Baghjan in Assam on Monday, few after hours of the vertical launch of gas from Oil India Limited number (oil) and five diverting the gas to four mission areas.Another Baghjan fails as the diversion of gas failed attempt and the fire continues. Earlier Oil India Limited (OIL) on Monday, had finally managed to extinguish the fire that broke out in Baghjan No 5 oil well, 104 days after it erupted, diverting the flow of gas from the well to the wells constructed flares temporarily.

The fire from the mouth of the well was arrested on Monday morning after the gas was diverted to four areas – two wells flares set near the well where is burning gas and two other areas in Baghjan EPS (Production System early).

Leakage needs to be fixed by welding, and must be completed in one day. Therefore, the explosion has also been taken back to its condition blowout with fire raging out of it, Hazarika said.
