Amit Shah On Har Ghar Tiranga: Union Cooperation and Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday appealed to the people to hoist the tricolor at their homes, shops and factories between August 13 and August 15 as part of the Amrit Mahotsav being celebrated by the Centre. Amit Shah said in a function organized in the Manipur area of Ahmedabad that the purpose of this program announced by Prime Minister Modi (PM Modi) is to spread awareness among children and youth about the development of the country in the last 75 years after independence and To inculcate the feeling of patriotism in them.
Amit Shah, the Lok Sabha member from Gandhinagar seat, inaugurated a water supply project for Bopal and Ghuma areas in Gujarat under the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority. Assembly elections are due in Gujarat later this year. He said that this would ensure the supply of pure drinking water of Narmada to 70,000 households. He inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 11 different projects worth Rs 211 crore under his constituency.
What did the Union Home Minister say?
Amit Shah said on this occasion that the objective of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is to inculcate the spirit of patriotism among the youth of India and take a pledge to take it to the top till the time comes to celebrate the centenary of the country’s independence. “The goal of this campaign is to remember and pay tribute to our known and unknown freedom fighters,” he said.
Must hoist the tricolor between 13 to 15 August
The Union Home Minister said that the national flag will be available in post offices, cooperative societies, municipal corporations and e-commerce websites and other places. He said that the common man should hoist the tricolor and post his selfie with it on the website of the central government. During the three-day campaign from August 13 to 15, 200 million tricolors will be unfurled across the country.
PM Modi took Gujarat forward
Amit Shah also talked about redevelopment of Kalupur and Sabarmati railway stations in Ahmedabad and said that these stations will look grand in the next five years. “When Prime Minister Modi was the chief minister of the state, he took Gujarat to the top in terms of development and also ensured that the tradition continues even after he went to Delhi,” the Union minister said.
Union Home Minister did many inaugurations
Union Home Minister Shah inaugurated Rs 7.73 crore housing project, a sports complex and Rs 77.5 crore water supply project under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana on the occasion. He also laid the foundation stone for a flyover, redevelopment of a lake, bridge over a canal and a solid waste recycling project.
