During the last 24 hours in the country, the number of active cases of corona has reached 1 lakh 34 thousand 933. Earlier on Saturday, 19,406 new cases of corona were found across the country, while 49 people infected with corona died. During this the positivity rate was 4.96 percent.
18,738 new cases of corona
In the last 24 hours, 18,738 new coronavirus cases have been registered across the country. During this, 40 more patients have lost their lives, after which the total number of deaths due to corona in the country has increased to 5 lakh 26 thousand 689. According to the report of the Union Health Ministry, the number of active cases of Kovid is 1 lakh 34 thousand 933. So far 4 crore 41 lakh 45 thousand 732 people have been infected with corona in the country. So far 206.21 crore vaccination doses have been given.
Center wrote a letter to the states
The central government is also concerned about the increasing cases of Kovid-19 infection in the country. The Center had written a letter to 6 states and one union territory expressing concern over the increasing infection. The Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Saturday wrote separate letters to the Principal Secretaries and Health Secretaries of Delhi, Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra, Kerala, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Secretary in the ministry, Rajesh Bhushan. In this letter, the states have been instructed to take extra vigil in view of the upcoming festive season. Apart from this, special emphasis has also been given to vaccination.
